 Carnegie Mellon University is a private university established by Andrew Carnegie in 1990 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The main campus is three miles away from downtown Pittsburgh and it was near to the University of Pittsburgh. There were 6279 students enrolled in 2013 fall. The application deadline is Jan 1st every year and all the SAT and ACT scores need to be received by Jan 1st also. The student-faculty ratio is 13:1, this means most of the classes are fewer than 20 students. The college is also famous for sports, “In recent years, the varsity track and cross country programs have seen outstanding success on the Division III national level.”
