GSA is super brainy at the Science Bowl

by

Five George Stevens Academy students represented George Stevens Academy in the Northern New England Science Bowl on Saturday, March 3rd at the University of Southern Maine in Portland–a first for GSA.  GSA placed 13 of 18 with one (34-0) win against Waynflete.  Two of our losses were just by two points.  We may have won one of them had we challenged the in-room ruling of our science judge’s ruling that Cape Elizabeth’s answer “The Pillars of Creation” qualified as correct when the key gave “the Big Bang”.  Cape Elizabeth placed first and will represent Northern New England at the national competition in Washington, DC.
